Rebecca (Bojia) Gu is a Chinese vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and 6th semester student at Berklee College of Music majoring in Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy, minoring in Psychology. With a musical journey that began at the age of three, Rebecca has developed into a versatile artist whose work spans performance, education, and music management. Her principal instrument is voice, and she specializes in R&B and Pop genres, using her voice as a tool for emotional storytelling and connection.
Rebecca’s artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is a powerful tool for healing and transformation. Her studies in Music Therapy and Psychology deeply inform her approach to both performance and creation, as she seeks to build meaningful experiences through sound. With proficiency in piano, guitar, drums, bass, violin, and various percussion instruments, she brings a broad and dynamic perspective to her music-making.
In addition to her academic and artistic pursuits, Rebecca is an entrepreneur and changemaker. She co-founded a music education agency in China, aiming to make music more accessible and inspiring to young learners. In the United States, she is a human resources (HR) professional in a non-profit organization, working alongside her partner to utilize music as a means of fostering community and well-being. Her third venture is that she leads an online music production studio with her partner, which allows her to support other artists in bringing their visions to life.
Whether on stage, in a studio, or a therapeutic setting, Rebecca Gu is driven by a mission to use music as a bridge between people-inviting empathy, expression, and healing through every note.
